Realtek Ac97 Audio Driver

Line driver - In mobile audio, a line driver is a small amplifier used to bolster the strength of the audio signal coming from the source unit. The newly strengthened signal is then fed to its appropriate amplifier.

AC97 - AC'97 (short for Audio Codec '97) is Intel Corporation's Audio "Codec" standard developed by the Intel Architecture Labs in 1997, and used mainly in motherboards (also known as 'on-board' or 'integrated'), modems, and sound cards.

Universal Audio Architecture - Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) is an initiative unveiled in 2002 by Microsoft to standardize the class driver architecture for audio devices in modern Microsoft Windows operating systems. Three classes of audio devices are supported by default: USB, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), and Intel High Definition Audio, which supports PCI and PCI Express.

Audio crossover - Audio crossovers are a class of electronic filters designed specifically for use in audio applications, especially hi-fi. A commonly used dynamic loudspeaker driver is incapable of covering the entire audio spectrum all by itself.
